One of a Kind Prep: Oops.. that went well.

ree

Hello! It's been about a month since my last blog. I've been hurriedly making lots of inventory. I reached a good milestone and thennnn.

I had a really successful market that took out 1/4 of my inventory.

I was a vendor at the Etsy Market in Waterloo and it was SO GOOD!

  • It was so BUSY

  • I only made one plushie during my downtime

  • I had one bathroom break

I guess this is giving me a preview as to what the traffic of OOAK (One of a Kind) could be like. And honestly...

I LOVED IT. I WAS SO HYPED.

And my most expensive item sold which really just made my day.

So are you behind on inventory now?

Technically yes, but I was ahead of my goal leading up to the Etsy market so there's not too much to catch up on. I will continue working through my prep list.

I'm not panicking... you are.

How do you balance making stock with everything else going on?

Oh, by that you mean... two teaching jobs and parenting a 3 year old?

I get hyper focused on production when I get time to myself. I have a constant rotation of making plushie body parts, stuffing a bunch, adding features, sewing on limbs. There are always a million projects I'm working on. Which seems to work for me so that I don't get bored of making a lot of the same thing.

If you are a crocheter, are you able to start and finish one project before moving onto the next? I certainly can't. That seems like a super power! Haha.

I think that's all for now. Feel free to ask me questions about the show. You can send me an email at simplewondersshop@gmail.com or msg me on Instagram at instagram.com/simplewondersshop

Bye for now!

Jen
